Central Teacher Eligibility Test known as the CTET 2017 is a national level entrance test that objective is the shortlisting of candidates to recruit for the post of a school teacher for primary classes I to VIII. The CTET qualified candidates will be appointed in the following list of school such as central government schools that includes the KVS, NVS and Tibetian schools and also the schools that are under the administrative control of the Union territories. Recommended Educational Qualification for Primary Classes (I-V)

CTET Eligibility Criteria for Following categories of candidates are eligible:

Candidates who have cleared Senior Secondary or its equivalent exam with 50% marks and cleared or appearing in final year exam of 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education.

Or

Candidates who have cleared Senior Secondary or its equivalent exam with minimum 45% marks and cleared or appearing in final year exam of 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education, according to the NCTE Regulations 2002.

Or

Candidates who have completed Senior Secondary or its equivalent exam with minimum 50% marks and cleared or appearing in final year exam of 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education.

Recommended Educational Qualification Upper Primary Classes VI-VIII

CTET Eligibility Criteria for Following categories of candidates are eligible to apply for Elementary stage teacher:.

Who have cleared their Graduation degree with at list 50% marks and cleared or appearing in final year exam of 2 years duration Bachelor in Education.

Or

Who have cleared their Graduation degree with at list 40% marks and cleared or appearing in final year of Bachelor in Education, according to NCTE rules.

Candidates Who have cleared Senior Secondary or its equivalent test with acquiring minimum 50% marks and cleared or appearing in final year exam of 4 Bachelor of Elementary Education.

Who have cleared Senior Secondary or its equivalent exam with at list 50% marks and cleared or appearing in final year exam of A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed or B.A/B.Sc.Ed.

Or

Candidates completed Graduation degree with minimum 50% marks and cleared or appearing in 1 year B.Ed program.
