DAVV PhD /MPhil Admission 2017: Applications will be offered by Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV), Indore from Interested and Eligible candidates for admissions into Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programmes and M.Phil Programmes under various courses for the academic year 2017. Interested and eligible applicants can apply as per prescribed schedule.

Applicants are suggested to apply for admission 2017 only if he/she fulfils the prescribed eligibility conditions as listed follows:

A applicants seeking admission to Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programmes or M.Phil should keep hold a Master’s degree or equivalent in the related or allied subject with minimum of 55% marks (50% for applicants belonging to SC/ST/Physically disabled category).

Applicants who are successfully qualified in NET (LS 2017) for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Foreign Nationals with an International/National fellowship that is TWAS (Third world Academy of Science) will be performed from entrance exam for PhD programmes but they have to come out for interview

The GATE 2016, NET 2016 or M.Phil 2016 qualify candidates are not excused from the entrance test for admission in Ph.D programme.

For M.Phil programme 20% seats are located for the applicants who qualify NET/ GATE/ SLET/ JEST/UGC /CSIR (JRF) Exam / Teacher fellowship holders and are excused from entrance exam only for M.Phil admission.

Application Form: How to apply? (DAVV Admission 2017)


Candidates who want to get admission in PhD and M.Phil Programme, through entrance exam or who are excused from entrance exam or those who are already registered PhD will be needed to submit applications form on prescribed form available by online through official website of University portal i.e. www.dauniv.ac.in. applicants need to send duly filled application form along with application fee of Rs.1000/- in the medium of a Demand Draft (DD) drawn in favour of “Registrar, DAVV, Indore” payment  payable at Indore.

Completed application in all respects along with relevant valid documents should reach “The Registrar, Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya”, RNT Marg, Indore – 452001 before last date.

DAVV PhD /MPhil Admission 2017 Examination details


The Entrance test will consist of one Multiple Choice Objective (MCQ) Type questions Paper containing 100 questions of one mark.

The questions papers in the test will cover all the basic papers of the allied Post Graduate programmes.

The duration of test will be 2 hours

There will be no negative marking schema in the entrance exam

Admission Process


Candidates will be generally admitted through an entrance exam followed by with an interview. In order to clear the PhD Entrance exam, applicants need to obtain at least of 50% marks (45% for applicants from SC/ST/Physically Handicapped category) while for M.Phil admission 2017, the minimum passing aggregate marks are 40% (35% for SC/ST category).

The list of the aspirants who successfully qualify the entrance exam along with other eligible applicants (20% seats are reserved for the candidates who qualify NET / UGC/CSIR (JRF) Exam / SLET / JEST / GATE/ Teacher fellowship holders for M.Phil 2017) for PhD programmes and MPhil admission will be informed separately for personal interview.
