Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET 2018) is a well-known entrance test to get admission to the candidates in Under Graduate courses like- Engineering/Medical/Agriculture/Pharmacy/Agriculture to the institute/colleges of Karnataka for the session 2018. KEA or Karnataka Exam Authority will release the notification in the mid of the month of January.  KCET 2018 Eligibility Criteria


The KCET 2018 eligibility criteria are different for the various courses of Engineering/Architecture and Pharmacy/Science. All the interested and eligible candidates can check their eligibility for performing in the KCET exam:

For Engineering/Architecture Program:

  • Candidates have to clear the 2ndPUC/10+2 or its equivalent exam from a authenticate board along with Mathematics & Physics as a main subject and English as a language subject.
  • Candidates have to score at least 45% marks (SC/ST category 40% marks) in physics and mathematics along with one of the subjects, i.e. Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Electronics/ Computer science.
  • Appearing candidates also eligible to apply.
  • For architecture program, candidates have a valid NATA score

For Pharmacy/Science Program:

  • Candidates have to clear their 2ndPUC/10+2 or its equivalent exam with PCB and English as a language subject.
  • Candidates have to secure at list 50% marks (SC/ST Category candidates have to 40%) in PCB group.
  • Appearing candidates also eligible to apply.

KCET 2018 Application form


KCET 2018 application form will be available on the official website of the authority. Only online application acceptable any other mode will not be accepted. The candidates have to fill all the essential details as required in the application form with candidates scanned images of photograph, signature and left thumb impression.

Application Fee

The candidates also have to pay Rs. 650/- as application fee (if SC/ST its Rs. 500/-). The application fee can be deposit through bank challan. The candidates are advised to keep the print out (hard copy) their application form for future use.

Syllabus and Exam Pattern


KCET 2018 Syllabus :

The whole question paper is based on the 10+2 state board level.

KCET 2018 Exam Pattern :

Whole question paper is containing the multiple choice questions from these subjects such as Maths, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology. Exam medium will be in English language. Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics each subject comprises of 60 marks that candidate need to complete within 70 minutes.

 KCET Admit Card 2018


  • Admit card will be available through online mode from our website.
  • KCET 2018 Admit Card will be released from the 3rd week of April 2018.
  • The admit card includes details such as name of candidate, roll number, exam center, exam date & time, etc.
  • Without admit card, no candidate will be allowed in the examination hall.

KCET Results 2018


  • The result will be published by the authority in the Last week of May 2018.
  • Candidates will check their KCET results 2018 through online mode.
  • Candidates require entering their roll number to check their results.
  • Keep a print copy of the result & safe it till the admission procedure not over.
  • The authority will also release the KCET cut-off after the result declaration.

KCET Counselling 2018


  • The KCET Counselling 2018 will be start in the 2nd week of June 2018.
  • Shortlisted candidates will be called for the counselling process
  • Candidates will select their merit in the entrance test.
  • Candidates’ documents will be verified at the time of counselling in the prescribed counselling centre. So, candidates have to report personally in the counselling.
  • The allotment of seats will take place as per the marks scored in the entrance examination, seat availability & filled choices.
  • Candidate can participate in other counselling rounds, if he/she can not satisfy with the seat allotment.
