CDS 2018 stands for Combined Defense Services Exam which is conducted twice in every year by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). UPSC conducts CDS 2018 exam for the recruitment of interested and eligible candidates for Military Academy (Armed Force), Officers Training Academy, Indian Air Force, and Indian Naval Academy. Every year, CDS Exam (I) Application form process start in the month of November and exam is held in the month of February and CDS Exam II application from process start in the month of July and exam is held in the month of November. All the interested candidates must satisfy prescribed eligibility standard before applyingCDS 2018 exam 2018. CDS 2018 important Eligibility criteria are as follows:

Marital status candidate should be unmarried
Nationality Candidate must be a citizen of India.
CDS 2018 age limit For INA, IMA, AFA courses the candidate’s age should be b/w 20 to 24 years and Officers’ Training Academy age limit is 25 years.
Physical standards Candidates must be physically fit as per the prescribed criteria of Combined Defense Services Examination.


Educational Qualification: The educational standard varies for different training academic courses.

For IMA /OTA: Graduation from a recognised University or equivalent.

For Indian Naval Academy:  Bachelor of Engineering.

For Air Force Academy: A Degree from a recognised University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10 +2 level ) or Bachelor of

Candidates, who have clear a degree in Engineering with physics and mathematics at 10+2 level from recognised university/ institutions, will be eligible to apply CDS 2018.

CDS 2018 Exam Ist application form will be published in the moth of November 2017, and for CDS Exam IInd, the Application form will be release from August 2018.

Application Fee: Online web portal such as:, providing the CDS application form 2018. Candidates have to Rs 200/– as application fee and candidates from categories like- SC, ST and women need not pay the form fee.

Selection Process

Selection of eligible candidates will be based on some important phases such as Written Exam, Interview, Document verification and Medical test of the candidates.

CDS Admit card 2018 (Read Full Article)

The conducting body i.e. UPSC will release CDS admit card 2018 through online mode only at its official website. No Admit Card will be sent by the post office. Candidates must visit the official website to download their admit card for CDS 2018 exam. For further more Interview/Personality Test the commission will issue separate Admit Card.


The result of CDS 2018 will be declared in two phases i.e. (I) written exam and (II) SSB/interview result. Firstly, the commission will declare the result of written exam. Candidates who clear the written exam will be called for SSB/Personality test.
