There are various categories of KTET eligibility criteria for different categories. Check the eligibility criteria from the below section.
Are You Eligible for KTET Entrance Exam?
Category-I for Lower Primary Teachers:
Apply for Lower Primary Teachers candidates should have passed Higher Secondary education with 45% marks and candidates should have 2-year Trained Teacher’s Certificate.
OR
Passed 12th class with a minimum of 45% marks and candidates must have a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education affiliated by NCTE Rules and Regulations, 2002.
OR
Qualified Higher Secondary education with a minimum of 50% marks along with a 4-year Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
OR
Passed Higher Secondary education with a minimum of 50% marks and should have a 2-year Diploma in Special Education.
Category-II for Upper Primary Teachers
Applying for upper primary school teacher candidates should have a graduation degree like B.SC/B.Com/BA along with a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or 2-year Teacher’s Training Certificate organized by the Kerala Board of Education.
OR
The candidates have a B.Sc/B.Com/BA degree with a minimum of 45% marks along with a B.Ed Degree organized by NCTE Rules and regulations.
OR
Candidate should secure 50% marks in Higher Secondary class and passed a Bachelor’s with 4 years Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
OR
Secured 50% marks in Higher Secondary with B.A/B.Sc or B.Sc B.Ed or B.A B.Ed.
Category-III for High School Class Teachers
Passed BA/B.Sc/B.Com and master degree with B.Ed degree in respective subject from a recognized university.
Candidates have M.Sc.Ed degree in any of the subjects from Maths, Botany, Zoology, Physics, Chemistry
Passed LTTC and candidates who have a BA with a minimum of 45% marks can apply.

KTET Online Application Form will available from April 2022, candidates have to pay a requested application fee to complete application procedures.
